Yes, Dan made this…

Welcome

As you probably know by now, Melinda had a craniotomy back in November, 2023 to remove a cyst, technically called a cholesterol granuloma. It was causing constant headaches, frequent migraines and double-vision. Her recovery was going well.

During the recovery, the pain and double-vision would often come back late in the day until eventually, she again started to wake up in pain and with constant double-vision. As a precaution, we went back to the Jefferson ER on Monday, January 29, 2024. New MRIs, showed that the cyst had returned and is in exactly the same spot—in her petrous apex—behind her eye socket and just beneath her brain.

The surgeons’ plan this time is to go through the nose/sinus cavity, drain the cyst and implant tissue in the small cavity which hopefully will prevent future occurrences…but there is no guarantee.
